Tawny Owls are are one of my favorite night time birds and the young are very vocal in the autumn where I live seeking their own territories in the local woods.  Tawnies live in deciduous woodland and have a thick coat of beautiful feathers, however, spotting them requires a bit of luck!   I discovered this bird sleeping in an Oak tree covered in Ivy.
